A shadowy figure perched among the rafters of the Ball Room. Using the shadows cast by the chandalier's lights, Yin was keeping himself hidden from view. All the patrons of the room were either spinning in some dance, or chatting near a concessions table. Masks were worn by all, making his target harder to see. Smell was of little use, he didn't know the target's scent, and all the ladies had all different perfumes on.
Grabbing tightly to his kwan-dao and lowering his goggles over his eyes, Yin leaped from the rafters and landed in the middle of the dancers. All dancing and music stopped, all the on lookers stared at this strange boy. "I'm looking for someone, and if I find him without anyone trying to play hero, you'll all survive and I won't devour your souls." He said, gazing about the shocked aristocrats.

Cameron was talking leisurely with some of the guests. He had been sent on a mission to learn what he could about the nobles of the surrounding area. Cameron was wearing clothes befitting a nobleman, and a silver mask that covered half of his face. Suddenly everything stopped. Cameron turned to see a young man with a weapon standing among the people. Cameron listened to what he said.
"I'm looking for someone, and if I find him without anyone trying to play hero, you'll all survive and I won't devour your souls."
That didn't sound good. If this man started killing people, Cameron's plan would be ruined. Cameron slowly walked over to join the circle of people staring at the man, and upon reaching the innermost part, stepped into the circle. "It isn't very polite to interrupt a dance." Cameron said, beginning a short pacing movement. "What is your reason for showing up at this event uninvited, threatening to "devour our souls"? Cameron said from beneath his mask.

"Its what I do." Yin said with the upmost casualness. His attention focused on this newcomer. Underneath his dark goggles, Yin's golden-yellow eyes gleamed with the excitement of the fight. "I warn you, you won't win a fight with me. Any fatal blow from my kwan-dao, and your soul is mine."

"Ah, so that is what that weapon is called..." Cameron said, looking at Yin. "Steal my soul? Go ahead, try." Cameron spread his arms out and stopped moving. "Take a shot." He said with a grin.

"You'll regret that." Yin charged foward. He stopped short of Cameron and spun on his heal. Yin did a strong horizontal slice, cutting Cameron straight through where his belly button would be. The slice continued along its path, gutting a guard who tried to get to close. The man fell over, his body fading to shadows as a whisp of smoke spiraled above where his body was, forming a ball. Yin launched the wolf's head off his staff and it clamped its jaws around the soul. Retracting the head, Yin held up the soul in his hand and swallowed it. "Now for yours." He said, waiting for Cameron's soul to appear.

Cameron took the slice, being cut in half. Instead of his innards being slung everywhere his body stayed intact, ice versions of human innards being visible from the bottom of his torso and the top of his legs. Cameron's lower torso did a turn, as if looking for the upper torso. "Down here." Cameron said, his body laying on the floor. After a few comical sessions of him trying to get back on top of his legs he simply melted his entire body and then reformed in front of Yin. "Though it did hurt a bit, I don't think it qualified as my soul being stolen." Cameron said, pretending to pick something out of his teeth with his pinky.

"Oh, this should be fun." Yin said. He looked around at all the startled people staring at them. "Well, at least if any bystanders get hit with my weapon, more souls for me." He raised his kwan-dao and ran at Cameron. He made a vertical slice, which he actually made hit into the ground to fly over Cameron. When he was above him, Yin struck out with his fist, attempting to knock Cameron literally upside the head.

Cameron melted away just as the fist got near his head. The "pool" that was Cameron moved away from where Yin was. He reformed himself and just continued to pretend like Yin was a weakling. Cameron was actually quite interested in Yin's fighting ability, but he was having fun pretending to be a stuck-up overpowerful noble. "Try a little harder, you won't be able to steal anyone's soul with that kind of fighting." Cameron said, giving Yin a sarcastic look. Cameron decided he would continue the act until Yin's next attack.

Yin stabbed his staff into the ground. He held his hands straight out infront of him. "Ice Crasher." A sphere of ice forms in front of his hands. He picks his kwan-dao back up and grips the sphere in the wolf's mouth. Yin begins to sling the staff around like a mace. He brings the sphere up in the air, and as it comes down he increases its size to the diameter of a regualr pool. "Dodge this!"

Cameron let himself be crushed by the ice ball. The ice ball began to shrink, eventually it was all gone and Cameron was standing there, unhurt. "That tasted good." Cameron said, turning to Yin. A light shone in Cameron's hand, forming into a light-blue longsword. "Enough toying around." Cameron said, pointing the sword at Yin. "I've had my fun. Now we fight. Ice spike!" Cameron drug his sword across the ground, ice forming at the tip. Cameron finally swung the sword upward, and an ice spike smashed out of the ground. More spikes followed that one, increasing in size as they approached Yin.

Yin placed his hands on the ground. "Ice Barrier." A wall of ice formed from the ground up, stopping the spikes. "Ice versus ice, interesting." Yin looks at the fleeing crowd. "Guess I'll have to finish this and track that soul down again. Hope HE doesn't get mad at me for a delayed mission." Yin takes a deffensive stance with his kwan-dao.

"Who is HE?" Cameron said, wanting to know who this guy was working for. Cameron looked around, seeing the ring of people around them. "All of you nice people may want to move. This fight might get dangerous." Cameron charged at Yin, making a horizontal slash as he got into Yin's range.

Yin stood and took the slash. Blood dripped out of his side. "That's not very nice, now is it?" Yin froze the sword to his side, making a slash with his weapon as he did. "Then again, niether is THIS!" The blade was aimed at Cameron's heart.

Cameron hardened the area of impact when the blade cut into him, freezing the blade within his body. "You know, using freezing magic on ice doesn't work that well." Cameron said, pulling his sword out of Yin very easily. "Lets see how your weapon works when its frozen solid." Cameron said as ice started to spread quickly down the weapon. If the ice reached Yin's hand it would begin to freeze him also.

Yin began to laugh. "This isn't an ordinary weapon. Its really very unique." The Yin there turned an icy blue color all over. A fist came out of the kwan-dao. Its knuckles were trying to make a personal aquaintence of Cameron's face.
